Are you feeling exasperated, losing hope, or just wanting things to be different?
Are you overwhelmed with life’s challenges, heartaches, or having a tough time?
These feelings can be overwhelming and it can be difficult to cope or manage. I will work along side you, as a guide, to sort through your issues. You don’t have to go through this alone. I will teach you new strategies and new ways to connect your thoughts, feelings, experiences and memories. Working together, we will ensure your inner strengths emerge.
I am a Registered Social Worker in Surrey, BC. I work with men, women, children and youths in my private practice.
Counselling can change your life.
I offer a safe and supportive environment in counselling. I believe that everyone has the hope of living a healthy life full of authenticity, harmony and connection. Clients can expect to find a calm, open-minded companion in me during counselling or therapy sessions. My approach to counselling is rooted in the belief that this is a sacred space for you to share your experiences. You will feel cared about, respected and empowered to make changes within yourself and with others.
People seek my professional services for some of the following reasons:
Children, youths and adults of all walks of life are welcome. It is an honour to encourage, support and foster hope in your healing journey.
My graduate studies include specialized training in deaf and hard of hearing issues. I am fluent in ASL (American Sign Language). I support deaf people from all walks of life: culturally deaf, hard of hearing, and late-deafened. I also counsel their family members or significant others. Deaf clients may communicate orally or use ASL. During our sessions they can use hearing aids, cochlear implants, or are free not to use any assistive devices. I focus on how deaf people’s lives are shaped by their experiences, identities and self-esteem. People may feel pride about being deaf, or find themselves saying things like “Why me?” or “No one understands me”. With my support through counseling, deaf people can broaden their horizons and establish an inner sense of competence, confidence and self-worth in the forefront of their mind.
"The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are."
